I just saw on the news that Obama is traveling to try and persuade the Olympics on coming to Chicago. Obama is a Chicago guy. Obama has friends in Chicago who would probably gain notariety and more importantly MONEY, LOTS OF MONEY from this happening.
I wonder what the fallout from this will be in terms of the views of different races and classes.

If I got to campaign for a certain area to hold the olympics I would campaign for it to be somewhere I thought was good. He is from Chicago, so obviously he has pride for that area of the country. It's possible to look at it from that side... Not that I believe people will. I'm sure people will cry favoritism. And it very well is, but maybe not in a negative, I want my people to win, kind of way.
ReplyDeleteI think I wont hurt him much or people in general. Other heads of state were going so he had to go. If minorities have a problem its their problem because all Obama was trying to do was something good for his city and his country.
ReplyDeleteI've heard people complaining that he shouldn't be going there, that it isn't his place. I mean he is the president of America, isn't he the best liason and spokesperson for America? I think, neigh know, that having the Olympics in America could only be a good thing. It would focus the world's attention on America and give our economy a much needed boost which would ultimately only help the world economy.
