Disney

In terms of race and our ability to define different races and cultures, Disney has had a big part. Most of it gets learned while we innocently enjoy a good children's film.

  1. Thanks for the link! I covered the same topic in one of my posts a bit ago. I have to laugh at some of the comments left at the bottom of the article, "I watched Disney all my life and I'm not racist! Get a life! This is insane. I'm going to bed. You people are CRAZY".
    Comical, is it not?

  2. yeah.. when you bring up things from people's childhood some tend to get pretty upset.

one of my teachers initially showed me a video on this and it was interesting to see the reactions you got

  3. Obviously not everyone who has ever seen a disney cartoon movie is a racist. But, you cant deny the glaring stereotypes in almost all of thier movies. It's crazy that these are the things children are still exposed to and we still think its ok.
